Established in 2002, Southbank Estate is owned by Ager Sectus Wine Estates Limited. Ager Sectus is a private company formed in 2000.

The Southbank Estate name is drawn from the fact that the two major vineyards are on the Southern side of the Wairau River in Marlborough and the Ngaruroro River in Hawkes Bay.

Today the company produces a range of fine wines which are enjoyed around the world, from the USA and UK to Belgium and of course at home in New Zealand.
